Long's Furniture World and Long's Mattress helps “Dining in the Dark”
Press Release – Franklin, IN (August 21, 2017) – Helping out their fellow Hoosiers, Long's Furniture World and Mattress announced a donation for the Johnson County Senior Services 4th Annual Dining in the Dark Awareness Fundraiser and Silent Auction. In order to help raise funds, Long's provides a Recliner Retailed at $500.
Marking the 3rd consecutive year, Long's continues to donate and help those out in their community. Not only helping Johnson County Senior Services, Long's has worked with many other charitable organizations including Hope Center Indy, Sheltering Wings, St. Vincent DePaul, and several local fire stations in Indiana.
Doug Petroskey purchased the Long's Furniture World location in Franklin, Indiana 10 years ago and, under his guaidance, the company has grown to include eight additional Long's Mattress locations throughout central Indiana including Avon, Castleton, Columbus, Fishers, Greenfield, Greenwood, Noblesville, and North West Indy – Carmel.

Johnson County Senior Services provides transportation to Seniors and individuals with disabilities. For over 38 years, this door-to-door service has come at no cost to those in need. In addition, Johnson County delivers pantry food items to seniors who have to make the difficult choice of paying for medicine or food.
